OUR STORY
A lot of Thai restaurants in America focus on central Thai cuisine, so people are most familiar with dishes like pad thai and curries. We want to introduce people to regional Thai cuisines and expand what Thai food means to people. My dad is from southern Thailand, closer to Malaysia, and my mom is from the northeast, closer to Laos. The idea of Chao Baan is to bring those two regional cuisines together under one, harmonious concept. This is the story of our family. – Shayn Prapaisilp
